About PsychTrakka, your account, billing, and security
What is PsychTrakka?
PsychTrakka is a digital Ahpra logbook for Australian psychologists, supporting both the 5+1 internship pathway (a digital alternative to Ahpra's LBPP-76 form) and the registrar program for area of practice endorsement. Established in 2023, it's Australia's most trusted platform for tracking hours, generating reports, and managing supervision requirements.
Does my supervisor need an account?
No! Your supervisor receives a secure link via email, reviews your report (with the PDF attached), and signs digitally in seconds. No account, no login, no hassle.
What if Ahpra changes the requirements again?
We will always automatically update PsychTrakka with any Ahpra guideline changes and communicate these changes in advance. You never have to worry about using outdated requirements or missing compliance updates.
I already have a spreadsheet working fine.
Great! But how long does it take you to update it each week? Most provisionals tell us 3-4 hours. PsychTrakka can take minutes and handles your Ahpra compliance automatically.
Who developed PsychTrakka?
PsychTrakka was designed, built and tested in Melbourne, Australia by an experienced team of web developers, registered psychologists, supervisors and interns.
Which of my devices can use PsychTrakka?
For your convenience PsychTrakka has been specially optimized for all the major smartphones, tablets and desktop computers via a web browser.
Which browser should I use to access PsychTrakka?
Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. We recommend using the latest version of these browsers for the best experience.
Is my data safe and secure?
Yes, we prioritize the safety and security of your data by utilizing advanced encryption methods and secure storage on reliable servers located in Australia.
How much does it cost?
We offer a free 14-day no-obligation trial. After this time you will be charged a monthly subscription until you cancel. Pricing can be found here.
Is PsychTrakka tax deductible?
Yes, PsychTrakka subscription fees are tax deductible as professional development expenses. You will receive a monthly tax receipt immediately after each payment, which you can use for your tax records and deductions.
Is the subscription cost worth it compared to using a spreadsheet?
Your time is valuable. While a spreadsheet might seem free, consider the hours you spend every week. Most provisional psychologists report 3-4 hours updating formulas, calculating ratios, and formatting complex reports. With PsychTrakka, weekly logging takes minutes, not hours, and we handle all Ahpra compliance automatically, freeing your time for what truly matters. Over a 44-week internship, that translates to saving 88-132 hours of tedious admin work.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription anytime through your Account > Billing page. You will still have full access until the end of your current billing cycle.
What happens to my data if I ever cancel my subscription?
We will retain your data for a period of 30 days if you ever cancel your subscription. During this time you can still re-activate your subscription to re-gain access to your data by contacting us via the Contact Us page.

For provisional psychologists on the 5+1 internship pathway
Is PsychTrakka the same as the LBPP-76 form?
PsychTrakka provides all the same information required by Ahpra's LBPP-76 logbook template, but in a more efficient digital format. While the LBPP-76 is a spreadsheet template, PsychTrakka offers automatic calculations, visual progress tracking, instant report generation with digital sign off, and multi-device access - all while maintaining full Ahpra compliance.
I'm already partway through my internship. Can I still use PsychTrakka?
Yes. You can easily import your already credited hours from a spreadsheet, tool or app and pick up exactly where you left off. PsychTrakka works at any stage of your internship—whether you're in week 1 or week 30.
If I import previously recorded hours, do they replace my logbook entries?
No. Imported hours are a manual total we add to your progress for convenience, entered without the individual logbook entries that normally back up your hours. Ahpra recognises supervised practice, supervision, and education & training through your contemporaneous, supervisor-verified logbook and reports, not self-entered totals.
If you import hours, keep the logbook entries and supervisor reports that back them up. Without those underlying records the hours may not be recognised by the Board and cannot be produced as evidence if your internship is audited. You remain responsible for retaining the documentation that substantiates any imported hours.

What is my official internship start date?
How does my supervisor approve my logbook entries?
Ahpra guidelines state that "The logbook must be reviewed regularly (e.g. weekly, or fortnightly if part-time) by the supervisor(s)." There is no requirement for formal approval of individual logbook entries. When you send your weekly report to your supervisor through PsychTrakka, it is assumed they will review it as part of their supervisory duties. Supervisors typically review logbooks during face-to-face supervision sessions or as part of asynchronous supervision, which can also be counted towards your supervision hours.
Does my supervisor need to sign my weekly reports?
As per the Ahpra guidelines signatures are not explicitly required - the December 2025 Ahpra guidelines (PDF) supersede the information provided on the original logbook template. Electronic review and verification have been common practice for many years and are fully accepted under the updated guidelines. However if you still wish your Supervisor to sign your report you have the choice of requesting a digital signature from your supervisor, or have them manually sign a printed report instead.
Can I download all my signed reports at once?
Yes. On the Reports page, use the Download all reports button to download all your weekly reports as a ZIP file in one click. This is handy if Ahpra ever audits your internship — you'll have all your supervisor-signed PDFs ready to go without having to download them one by one.
Do I need to de-identify client information in my logbook?
Yes. Ahpra requires that all client information in your logbook is de-identified — you should never record a client's full name, date of birth, or any other detail that could identify them. Use initials, a case number, or a pseudonym instead.
PsychTrakka's Client Registry is designed with this in mind. It lets you create a private, de-identified record for each client (using initials or an alias) that you can then link to your practice entries. This keeps your logbook compliant while still allowing you to track progress across sessions for each client.

Can I export my raw logbook data?
Yes. Go to Account → Your Profile and click Export all data as CSV. This downloads a ZIP file containing your supervision, practice, and professional development records as separate CSV files — useful for keeping a personal backup or transferring your data to another tool.
Registrars
For registered psychologists pursuing an Area of Practice Endorsement (AoPE)
Does PsychTrakka support the registrar program?
Yes. PsychTrakka fully supports the Psychology Board of Australia's registrar program for area of practice endorsement. You can track practice hours, active CPD, and direct supervision sessions across any of the five qualification tiers.
If I import previously recorded hours, do they replace my registrar records?
No. Imported hours are a manual total we add to your progress for convenience, entered without the individual logbook entries that normally back up your hours. Ahpra and the Psychology Board recognise supervised practice, supervision, and CPD through contemporaneous, supervisor-verified documentation — for the registrar program that means your Board-approved supervisor's progress reports, and only practice within your Board-approved program dates counts toward endorsement.
Keep the records and supervisor progress reports behind any imported hours. Without them the hours may not be recognised and cannot be produced as evidence on audit. You remain responsible for retaining the documentation that substantiates any imported hours.

What is the difference between active CPD and regular CPD for registrars?
Active CPD involves participatory learning activities where you directly apply or demonstrate knowledge — for example, supervision, workshops with interaction, role-plays, case presentations, or peer consultation groups. Passive learning (such as reading journals or watching webinars without active participation) does not count toward your active CPD requirement.
Ahpra sets a minimum requirement for active CPD hours each year. PsychTrakka tracks your active CPD against that requirement so you always know where you stand.

Is asynchronous supervision allowed for registrars?
No. Unlike the 5+1 pathway, the registrar program requires all supervision to be direct (face-to-face or real-time video). Asynchronous supervision — such as written feedback on case notes — does not count toward registrar supervision requirements. PsychTrakka enforces this rule automatically when you log supervision sessions.
How are period reports handled for registrars?
Registrars can submit quarterly or half-yearly period reports to their supervisor for review and sign-off. PsychTrakka generates these Ahpra-compliant period reports in seconds. Your supervisor can digitally sign the report without needing an account, and you can download the signed PDF for your records.
